My New Toys

I haven’t had a chance to show off my new laptop yet, so I though I’d take my opportunity to do it now. It’s a custom made Sager laptop that I had assembled by xoticpc in Lincoln Nebraska. The laptop came out just the way I wanted and is substantial faster then my last rig. It’s got 16 gig of Ram, an Intel i7 processor, 750 gb 7200 rpm hard drive, finger print scanner and a sweet custom skin job that I put together for it. I loved everything about it except that the Seagate hard drive died after I had it for two weeks. Luckily for me it was still under the limited warranty and Sager sent me out a new one right away, and I was back up and running in about 3 business days.

At the same time that I got my new laptop I upgraded my tablet from a Bamboo Fun by Wacom to there Intuos 4 Medium tablet. It has a larger drawing surface, better pen option, programmable buttons/wheels and 2,400 + levels of pressure sensitivity. It’s a huge step up for me and my new Cobra Commander art was the first project I’ve used it on.

On a cool side note, the Intuos fits just about perfectly on the keyboard for the laptop so I can stack them when I’m working in a tight space!
